Some of her notable works include ‘Hidimbi – The Lost Lullaby,’ mentored by Guru Sharmila Biswas and ‘Kamadeva- The Duel Within,’ under the guidance of Research Scholar Shri. S. Jayachandran. Her production ‘Temples – Path of Knowledge – Through Bhakti & Gyana,’ explored the spiritual and intellectual journey through devotion and knowledge.
Divya’s collaboration with artists like Satish Krishnamorthy, Pavitra Bhat, and others in ‘Asura Navaras,’ further showcased her versatility as an artist. Additionally, she has worked on traditional Mohiniyattam repertoire items like Cholkettu – Anandabhairavi, Padams, Varnam, Raghu Pati Raghavan- Thillana, and more. Each of these productions highlights the unique elements of the Mohiniyattam dance form while incorporating innovative narrative techniques.
Accolades and Recognitions
Divya’s commitment and creativity have been recognised through various awards and titles. These include the prestigious ‘A.T. Govindarajan Pillai Award,’ ‘Salangai Oli,’ ‘Kalagurjari,’ and ‘Nrityavilasini.’ Her dedication to the art form and her contribution to society were further recognized when she was awarded the ‘Sanskriti – Madhobi Chatterji Memorial Fellowship Grant’ for the year 2023-24 in New Delhi. Divya was also the recipient of the ‘Indian Raga Fellowship for Classical Dance’ in 2020.
In recognition of her exemplary work, Divya was honoured with the, Woman Achiever Award
for the years 2021-22 by the Rotary Club, Mumbai. These recognitions are a testament to Divya’s relentless pursuit of excellence in her art form and her commitment to leveraging it as a tool for social change.
